Fire size: 20,120 acres
Containment: 60%

The pre-evacuation for the Lake Agnes, Rabbit Ears Village and homes along Highway 40 has been lifted as of 10:00 on October 3rd, 2018. A community briefing will be held tomorrow, October 4th at 19:00 at the West Grand High School auditorium.

Yesterday’s weather helped to moderate fire behavior, and no growth or spot fires were observed. Hand crews finished line on the north portion of the fire. Structure protection equipment was staged in the area of Lake Agnes to be utilized if necessary. Crews have assessed repair work needed near Latigo Ranch, and work has begun. Today crews will continue with ground operations on the north perimeter of the fire to improve line currently in place and monitor fire behavior. Air support will be available. The Silver Creek Fire, located 16 miles northwest of Kremmling, Colorado was started by lightning on July 19, 2018. There are currently 290 personnel assigned to the Silver Creek Fire. The fire is currently 20,120 acres and 60 percent contained.
